Our Team
Rockwood Financial is a family focused office. We work tirelessly for our clients because our advisors work as fiduciaries, through an advisory relationship, devoted to putting clients’ needs and interests first. Clients often come to us with questions – Do I have enough for retirement? Am I making the most of my investment plan? Will I be able to enjoy the retirement lifestyle I want? Our greatest satisfaction is being able to answer those questions to give clients clarity and manage their worry, so they feel confident about their financial future.
Drew Stotler, AAMS®
LPL Financial Advisor
When I was younger, my father was shot in the head by an intruder that had entered his home.
He lived through it, thanks to thousands of prayers from so many people whose lives he had touched over the years, and by also having what I’ve since deemed a “Stotler Head,” since we've all been told we have hard heads 😉
Over the next several years, he rehabilitated himself, despite what all the doctors thought would be his limitations, but he was never able to return to work. As this terrible event attacked the wealth he had built and as I watched it erode over the years, I learned some of the financial strategies he was pursuing to keep his nest egg from disappearing. They were high-risk strategies and he was basically executing them on his own, without professional help.
Two things became clear to me:
- I was going to need to be able to provide for my father much sooner than other families sometimes experience.
- There is a whole world of people out there that need trusted financial advice and they don’t always realize how they can seek that out.
That’s where my journey began.
Hi there, I’m Drew Stotler and as an independent financial advisor (with access to some great operational support listed down below), I consider myself an educator, guide and life coach. I’m not the one making decisions – I’m the one helping you translate your most important dreams and goals into specific strategies you implement to pursue those goals. I’m here to help keep you organized, simplify your life and act as your financial sounding board for you throughout life.
I’ve always put people and philosophy first over products and performance. The relationships I have with my clients are founded on trust, respect and transparency. I work to understand your motivations and needs to better connect with you and design a financial plan that’s personalized to your specific financial circumstances.
I hold the Accredited Asset Management Specialist™ designation from the College of Financial Planning, as well as life and health insurance licenses, and Series 7 and 66 through LPL Financial. I have served as a financial advisor for more than 10 years and have over 18 years of experience in the banking and finance industry.
Giving back to my community is important to me, so I served as an alderman for the City of Pacific and a board member for the Tri County Senior Center, which is dedicated to enhancing the lives of local area senior citizens. I'm a strong supporter of the Alzheimer’s Association in the fight to end that disease, as it has personally affected my family.
When I'm not in the office, you can often find me spending time with my two children, Avery and Noah, along with our two dogs and two cats... it's a full house! I love outdoor activities, playing guitar and cheering on the Chiefs and Cardinals. My favorite travel spot is Colorado, where I can spend time in the mountains and feel spiritually grounded and reminded that we’re part of something bigger than we can comprehend.
